In terms of swing thoughts, this may be a good one: Up, Down, Up, Up.

When the shoulders turn and arms go up on the backswing, that is up one. Down is the horizontal move, when our right heel comes up, for (right handed golfers), the club starts down, we then turn. Obviously our body goes higher, up, when the right heel comes up, number 2. The shoulders, arms and club also swing up with you, thus completing up number 3.

There are all types of swing thoughts, and most golfers change them after a while because they feel or find another move that seems to work a little better. The important thing is to embrace a simple thought that encompasses basic swing movements that all quality players implement.
