How often have we heard the phrase, release, rotate, supinate and pronate, unhinge etc.? They're all the same. The nice thing is, what we're asking a player to do is not a move!
Our club is attached to our hands, then arms, and a shoulder on both sides of our chest. Isn't it nice that all these parts are connected? Since they're all connected, IF WE TURN our bodies: rotate or pivot, those parts go along for the ride! If we leave the vertical plane alone, hands, arms etc., it will coordinate with our horizontal, the turn. Of course this is all literally based on a good turn. Our hands for example want to face right, (open, for a right handed player), then square to the target then closed or left of the target. If you stick you right elbow into your right hip and set your hand out in front of you to shake hands, then turn away from your target, return to the ball then continue to the target, your handshake will stay square to you throughout the swing, and will open, square up and close relative to the target without you doing anything, except turn! It is that simple...........
