When golfers speak of release during a golf shot, they normally mean one of two moves: either release of hands or transition of weight and uncoiling of muscles. Both moves demonstrate a true commitment to your golf shot.

When a golfer releases his hinged wrists the club should be at its address position. It is one of our constant factors; the extension of our arms and hands cannot get longer. As far as the turn being a constant factor, we cannot go any farther than turning down the track of our stance to the target. It cannot get more left than turning to the target. The two releases afford two constants and help us hit the ball straight, and long!
