Golf is not complicated! We perform and coordinate tasks such as driving a car which involves many moving parts within seconds of one another the entire time we're going down the road, watching for traffic, changes in speeds, weather, slowing, turning etc.
Golf becomes complex through BAD INFORMATION!!! People listen to other people who do not know how to play! Because some person shot a 75, and shot that 75 in a golf tournament, (which means much more), does not mean such a good golfer is also a capable instructor. I have so often watched a well meaning golfer destruct, not instruct, another would be player! The destructor may see a bad move within the swing of the lesson taker, problem is, it may not be a basic problem. A trained eye knows which of the various swing errors require attention first. A good instructor knows the basic requirements; then addresses those basics not in play. If the basics are in place, he or she then seeks out the few smaller issues. Invariably, focusing on and fixing the next more important problem with a fix or drill, also resolves, repairs or removes the next error which existed because of the bigger problem.
