Which is it, hit the ball or hit the target? Without a doubt, we do not seek to hit the ball, rather hit it to the target which is out there in front of us. As with all sports with balls, it is important, but only a means to an end.

Everything we do in golf prior to hitting the ball is focused on the target: we choose a target, select a club to get there, aim at the target, but most golfers then change focus to the ball, (not their target). Good golf swings work through the ball on its way to the target. Strong players swing from top of backswing to top of finish with the club hitting the ball coincidently along the way!

Without a doubt, the swing is number one, but there are so many players who have the move, but cannot score. Those who swing to the target, without hesitation, play better golf.
